A modern mountain home, inspired by the forest around it.

Three blocks from Main Street, Forest Haus sits in a quiet pocket of downtown Breckenridge surrounded by trees. When we renovated this small condo, that setting became the inspiration: this little home is in a forest. It should feel like it.

Rather than simply modernizing the space, we used warm, natural materials to give it a stronger sense of place. Warm gray cabinetry, a rough-sawn cedar accent wall, and a mix of wood, iron and steel create a home that feels modern without losing its mountain character. Vaulted ceilings bring unexpected volume, while the wood-burning fireplace remains the warm heart of the space.

The result is cozy without feeling rustic and modern without feeling sterile.
