The
Tomorrow River
Story
Tomorrow River is a real place from my past—a stretch of water I grew up alongside, fishing, wandering, and returning to again and again. It ran near my grandparents’ cabin, quiet and steady, never in a hurry but never stopping. Over time, it became more than a place. It became a feeling: calm mornings, patient movement, and the reassurance that progress doesn’t always announce itself—it simply keeps going.
Years later, during a difficult season of change, that idea resurfaced. While shoveling snow on a cold Breckenridge morning—moving one line at a time, step by step—I realized how much I was drawn to work that could be repeated, endured, and returned to. Not work fueled by urgency or pressure, but effort chosen deliberately. Like a river moving forward regardless of obstacles, adapting to terrain, weather, and time, without losing its direction.
Tomorrow River became my metaphor for how I want to live and invest: with relentless persistence, steady resolve, and a long view. It reflects the belief that meaningful progress comes from showing up day after day, learning from setbacks, and continuing forward even when the work is hard or unglamorous. Not chasing the next thing—but committing fully to what’s in front of me, and building something that holds.
